LAST DAY OF PRESCHOOL + GRADUATION + A JOYFUL CELEBRATION & SO MUCH GRATITUDE
/LAST DAY OF PRESCHOOL
Saturday our amazing neighbor, friend, and E’s homeschool/preschool teacher, Faith, came over for her very last day of lessons - which happened to involve preparing for her very own preschool graduation celebration!
Throughout the past year Faith has spent time with Emmajean baking, working on numbers, the alphabet, the days of the week, learning about dinosaurs, reading lots of books, making art crafts, and so much more… it’s been truly incredible.
I can’t go any further without saying a humongous THANK YOU to this amazing human being who taught Emmajean so much throughout this tricky year. Faith, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us navigate the year, for loving our child, for being part of our family. There really aren’t words enough to express what a difference you’ve made in this little one’s life (in all of our lives) and we will be forever grateful.
GRADUATION DAY
When the year came to an end Faith had one more big surprise up her sleeves - an end of year graduation celebration for our little, silly, smarty pants!
Emmajean was thrilled! She got to help plan her party, make invitations for her grandparents, and help prepare the snacks!
This morning she woke up and brushed her teeth, made herself some breakfast, got dressed (a bit fancier than usual), and let me fix her hair in pretty braids with bows for her very special day.
Her Gima and Doc came over early before we headed to the fun graduation celebration at Faith’s cabin. We had finger sandwiches cut into dinosaur shapes, mini butterfly sugar cookies, chocolate healthy energy bites, and refreshing ice tea and pink lemonade - and some truly wonderful conversation.
Just before the party ended Faith surprised us all with an extra special gift bag for our little student that included some of Emmajean’s favorite preschool treats - her favorite snack mix, icy pops, chewing gum, of course a new book, and her very own “diploma.”
I have to admit, I was pretty nervous heading into this year, wondering how we would manage it all and what it would look like, but it turned out to be a pretty amazing adventure with so much to be thankful for.
I just can’t put in words how proud we are of this sweet girl, how thankful we are for all of the good that came from this year, and the gratitude we have to our amazing friend and neighbor. Thank you so much Faith!
Way to go, Emmajean!
We love you no matter what, forever and always!
