Venteicher Wedding | a gorgeous fall wedding at Backbone State Park

This fall was filled with love and adventure! I was elated when Brittany reached out to me about documenting their wedding day at Backbone Sate Park. Brittany was planning their Iowa wedding long distance from Utah, they would also be having a Utah reception. I always like to talk to the couple before booking with me to make sure I am a good fit and get to know them and their vision for their day… and we hit it off instantly over the phone! I can’t imagine planning a wedding long distance, but she rocked it!

Arriving at the Lodge, Brittany’s bridesmaids and family were putting the final touches together. I was blown away by the cake made by Brittany’s sister, the elegant bouquet her bridesmaid put together, and by all of the thoughtful fun details that made their day so perfectly “them!” And, wow… THE DRESS. You know you’re lucky when your mom owns an amazing bridal shop!

After getting ready, the wedding party headed over to the amphitheater for an absolutely adorable heartfelt ceremony officiated by the farther of the bride. His stories were sweet, precious, and funny. Everyone laughed, their were “awww how sweets” and of course a few tears shed. It was a joy to witness.

After the ceremony, standing in front of the beautiful wooded backdrop we documented the family with portraits. Next we adventured our way back through the park for the bride and groom and wedding party images on our way to their sunny reception.

The long wooden tables were decorated with wooden florals, the space filled with smiles, the steaming food was amazing, and of course the dancing awesome!

The Venteicher Iowa wedding was such a fun day and I loved photographing all of it! Of all of the details that made Brittany and Don’s wedding so memorable, I’d have to say the people who came from all over to love and support them made it the most beautiful!
