Alaine + Cody’s Epic Engagement Session | NE IOWA

ALAINE + CODY

Alaine and Cody were so much fun to photograph in the valley and hills of northeast Iowa. I think the forecast changed ten times before noon and we decided to move up their evening session to the afternoon. Even with all of the predictions you can never really predict the weather. The minute we started, so did the rain. Luckily, none of us were in a rush, so we waited out the first bit of rain and proceeded to have a seriously epic engagement session! At the end of the session a light drizzle began to fall as they danced in the wildflowers. Such a sweet reminder to let go and enjoy the moment. I love all of their images so much… raindrops and all.

I’ve only met Cody and Alaine twice (once at their wedding consultation and then again this weekend at their engagement session) and I already feel like we’ve been friends for ages. I’m such a believer in the engagement session as a way to get to know and trust your photographer. It’s also a great way to become comfortable in front of the camera and fun to spend the day all dressed up with your honey! All of my wedding collections include a complimentary engagement session for these reasons and just because I love getting to know my couples before their big day!

At the end of the session I was so excited and we had so much fun, I blurted out that I loved them as we said goodbye! Hahaha, I’m laughing out loud right now as I’m telling you this! That’s me though… fast to fall in love with people! :)

Life isn’t perfect but these two have a patient joyful love that will carry them through… for always.

Cody & Alaine, Thank you for trusting me to document this beautiful season in your life.
I’m so excited to know you both and I look forward to capturing all of the memories on your wedding day!

XO
Jillian
