3 Ways Great Photos Help Your Business
/In 2020, I had the pleasure of photographing my dear friend and branding expert, Ketaki Poyekar. Ketaki is the owner/designer of Studio K8ki out of Elkader, Iowa. She not only works with clients all over the world to develop custom logos, she assists in an overall branding, marketing strategy, and design. Her work is contemporary and thoughtful, and she is awesome to work with.
Since knowing Ketaki, we’ve talked a lot about how important great photos are for this digital age and I was honored she chose me when it came to update her own images!
Today I just wanted to share a few ways great photos will benefit your business.
Headshots
A great profile image lets your client see your face for easy recognition, but it also lets them see your personality. People like to know who they’re hiring or working with. Are you silly, serious, approachable? Give them the best glimpse with a friendly, fun profile photo!
Website Images
Updating your website with clean, clear, explanatory images that reflect your services or products is a way to show clients what you’re about. Great images are a big piece to the puzzle when it comes to website design and making a professional first impression. On the creative side, I know how to take behind the scenes images that will intrigue your clients and flatter your business!
Overall Branding
Using great images across your social media, in print, and online will give your audience a clear vision of your brand and let them know who you are, and show them they can expect attention to detail!
No matter who takes your images, if you have great images on your social media and website it shows you pay attention to the details and people LOVE to look at gorgeous images. I have limited availability for branding photography so reach out to me if you’re interested and I’ll put together a quote. If I’m unavailable for your time frame I am still happy to direct you to other local photographers and branding experts that I trust, too!
#communityovercompetition
When Ketaki originally reached out to me about updating her headshots, we talked about doing them at a coffee shop or bistro. We talked through colors, lighting, and overall style of the shoot. Then COVID hit and we decided to postpone. This actually gave us some time to reconsider her shoot and she decided that it made more sense to photograph her from her home office, anyway. She decided it was important for her to show her clients where she works, a picture into her home and life.
We also wanted some of my classic outdoor bright and vibrant headshots. With so much on the agenda, she opted for a full two hour session that included a client experience, solo in office, outfit change, and two additional outdoor locations. At the end of the session we had a plethora of options for Ketaki to work with moving forward. Not only does she have great headshots, she has images that tell her story and let her clients get a glimpse into her world before they ever book her!
Ketaki is super talented graphic designer and branding expert.
