Silver Linings and Life Goals :)
/Have you ever found an entire box of cookies under your passenger seat? I have.
This weekend, I spent close to three hours cleaning out our minivan; vacuuming dog hair, and throwing out trash. It's not like I was going anywhere, but I just needed to tackle a chore (a most loathed chore) that I've been putting off for forever. IT WAS TIME. As I worked my way around the car, frustrated at all of the dog hair, the crumbs, the trash, I could not believe when I reached under the front passenger seat and pulled out a nearly full box of cookies. I’m so glad we had other sweets in the house and can still make trips to the store; otherwise, I may have been tempted to eat one! The thought was so ridiculous, I know. Times are tough though! I laughed out loud at myself, and the grumble feeling from the dog hair and trash vanished.
Silver Linings: Clean Van. Will Power. Grateful for fresh groceries.
Life Goals: Keeping my home/van/studio clean… and always being mindful and grateful for what we have - no matter the state of the world.
During our time at home, I've been tackling all sorts of projects like the van and giving myself days off to be lazy, too. We still need time to process, time for ourselves, time to stay sane. Lucky for me, painting helps me relax and get away from it all. So it’s felt great to get house projects done, enjoy my downtime, connect with friends online, play outside with E, enjoy the sunshine, and work on my art. I’m keeping myself busy, staying off the news as much as possible, and it’s helping my anxiety tremendously.
This has been a great time to focus on my art, too. I’ve created and completed a New Release of artwork, and spent time working on my online shop. Having my artwork available online is no longer a plus, it’s a must. I’m still missing my photography clients, but for now I’m focusing on what I can do from home and being grateful for what I can do.
I’ve been so overwhelmed by love, support, and encouragement from you all and I can’t thank you enough! I’m so thankful for the ability to connect with friends and family through Facebook, through Instagram, and face/zoom time.
Silver linings: Time. Focus. New Art. Connections.
Life Goals: Continue to TAKE THE TIME. Time to rest. Time to think. Time for myself. Time for website. Time for connection.
Since it’s felt so good to get stuff accomplished, I’ve added one more thing to the list…. my email sign-up. Yes, I’ve needed to work on my newsletter and email lists! Thanks for your patience friends! If you don’t get it, please subscribe again because I might have missed you the first time around! I apologize that it’s taken me so long to figure out all of the techy stuff, but I’m a visual artist, not a computer person. I’m still growing and learnig… aren’t we all? So please join me and sign-up if you haven’t! The form is below and I’ll promise to keep the very occasional email short, sweet, and for special news. You’ll have to check back here on the blog for all of my long-winded stories. :)
Thanks for sticking with me!!
xoxo

Add a beautiful, natural wood, white pine frame with a museum quality, cotton rag, white mat to create a clean contemporary look for your painting.
Select 2 inch or 4 inch white mat.
See images for comparison. For reference, the 4 inch white mat creates an overall size of 20x20 inches for the 12x12 painting, or 17x20 inches for the 9x12 inch painting. Where as, the 2 inch mat creates an overall size of 16x16 inches for the framed 12x12 artwork.
These frames are hand crafted in Elkader, Iowa, and made custom to order. Additional time will be needed prior to shipping, but your painting will arrive beautifully framed and ready to hang in its new forever home.
