Happy golden birthday, Rachel!
I’m so excited to share this special fall photo session on a very special day (Happy Birthday, Rachel)!
When my husband and I moved to the Midwest, Rachel was my very first IOWA senior session! Getting to know and work with her over the past several years has been awesome. She is sweet, sassy, and so fun to photograph!
This fall she messaged me about a session for her, her boyfriend, and their cute pup, Chloe. Obviously… I was thrilled!
The best part (other than how absolutely adorable these three are and how happy I was to document this beautiful time in their lives) is these photos were used as a Christmas surprise for Rachel’s parents! How awesome is that!?
Keeping the surprise for a couple of months wasn’t too tricky, except for the time we were all together for an extended family session… we had to pretend like I hadn’t just seen them for their own! ;)
So on this extra special day, Rachel’s golden birthday, I’d like to finally share a few sunny sweet images from their northeast Iowa fall photo session. Enjoy!

P.S. You’d never believe the behind the scenes. Rachel & Brandon worked magic to pretty much conceal Chloe’s leash in all of the photos! They also came prepared with plenty of treats to help keep her focused. Photographing an energetic pup is somewhat akin to photographing a spunky toddler! hahaha … #TotallyWorthIt!
