Let the Light Shine Through | A collection of lively bright works on canvas to lighten your days

Is it just me or does It feels like March was yesterday and a lifetime ago? How have you been? I know this was a rather different summer... for all of us. And here we are navigating the fall. It's been busy here in Saint Olaf, with painting, photography, daydreaming, and playing with Emmajean. It's been a whirlwind... Isn't life always?

I've been steadfast in looking for the light and hope in the everyday, enjoying every minute with our little one, striving to work as efficiently as possible, not overbooking myself, embracing imperfections, and sleeping slightly less than I'd like (bet I'm not alone in that department).

Over the summer I was working on a new collection of artwork on canvas - and it's finally dry and ready to share with you! I'm pretty excited and can't wait to hear what you think! I also have decided that with my work showing in so many different places, I'll be doing limited time web releases before they move on to exhibit elsewhere. I also wanted you to have the first look right here!

This collection of original one-of-a-kind paintings was created with acrylic, charcoal, graphite, and oil on cotton canvas. The collection started with a need to paint something uplifting and light, a need to escape the heavy world and feel light and free. It turned out quite bright and airy and I'm really enjoying the entire collection!

All that being said, these pieces have been therapeutic to create. They've truly helped lift my spirits through the summer and I'm hopeful they'll go out in the world and help soothe and uplift you, too.
